A " '57 " and a " '59 "!

I have always dreamed of travelling to Cuba to see or purchase one of the pre-1960 American-made cars still "rambling" the roads of Havana and other locales. After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, and Batiste's "ouster", an "embargo" was placed on Cuba, which still is in place today. No new American cars, no parts! Apparently the "locals" are quite ingenious, though, and thousands of the old cars still run very well, unaffected by "rust", due to the climate. Anyways, like I said, a "dream". I did come across a " '57 " and a " '59 " the other day, though. Check them out!

Here is the '59!

DHC-3 Otter C-GCDX!

She "sports" the 1000 HP Pezetel radial engine and DC-3 prop.

Nice clean, uncluttered "bridge" on this ship!

Very nice "practical" interior, as it is a "working" airplane!

I still want to get to Cuba, though, maybe I will go in CDX................!!!

"Adios"!
