Lake Winnipeg, "North Basin"!
Tuesday I took a "familiarization" flight with Doug "McLeod" Burton in Northway's Caravan, C-GNWV, as a "prelude" to my Caravan "recurrent training". We headed for Poplar River, on the east side of Lake Winnipeg, near the top of the "north basin".
"Northbound", for "C-ZNG", Poplar River!
Later, we were southbound, and we viewed "ICE"!
The "south basin" is "ice-free", but Lake Winnipeg is about 280 miles long!
"Back at the hangar", UKN's "physical" continued, as she is prepared for "floats"!
"TO BE CONTINUED"................!
