Steve's Video Of The Day: F-14 "Tomcat" Go-Around!
Trying to land on an aircraft carrier in calm seas, on a sunny day, and with no wind, would be difficult. Throw in pitching seas, bad weather, and night-time, and you would think it just about impossible. Similar to trying to stand and balance on a basketball while "drunk". Not for Navy and Marine pilots. Just another day at work for them. The reaction time of these men and women is without equal. Watch this Tomcat pilot keep his bird in one piece and go-around to do the landing again. There isn't a pilot alive or dead that hasn't done a go-around, and 99 out of 100 times it is the proper procedure to follow.
