Photoblog: Some Fine Photos From The Lens Of Brad Blois

During a pilot's career, he is exposed to, and works with, all different types of personalities. Everybody is unique, everybody has short-comings, and everybody has talents. Brad Blois is a pilot I flew with 2 summers ago, and he has some talent with a camera.

I, actually, had hired Brad to work for Blue Water Aviation, flying our Beaver from our Sub-Base in Bissett. He had previously flown in the area for Sabourin Lake Lodge, and he had good references from Ron Williams, Sabourin Lodge owner, and Fred Penner, Sabourin Lodge operator. The word of those two was good enough for me, so we hired Brad.

Brad worked for us from May to October, 2003, and ended up flying one of our Polish Otters. His flying skills, I would say, were better than average, but his dealings with customers were at times a little "caustic". Now, in defense of Brad, 99% of people you deal with are gracious, but the other 1% you want to "pound". I have been there myself, had my blood boiling, used colourful language, and then quickly "simmered down", before I did any physical damage. Anyways, at the end of the season Brad moved on to the West Coast, and did some flying around Prince Rupert, I believe. Awhile back he sent a CD with some photos he had taken during his tenure with Blue Water in Bissett. There are a lot of pictures, so I will post them over a couple of days. So, without further adieu, here are "The Photos Of Brad Blois"!

As you can see, Brad also got some nice aerial shots. Posted by Hello

Like I said, some very nice shots. Stay tuned for more photos from Brad, some aerials, nice weather photos, and a "wild rice boat" with a 350 Chevy engine! Till next time, adios!

(before I go, check out what happened at the Rotterdam Red Bull Air Race today! Gotta' love any race where the competitors can fly under bridges!)
