Steve's Video Of The Day: "Moose" vs. "Samurai"!

My brother Mike loves to hunt. He told me he always goes hunting in his small car. I told him he was a poor hunter, because you can't fit a moose in a Samurai, so obviously he never gets a moose. He called my bluff, and said he can easily fit a moose in a "Samurai". Do you believe him?

"Snapshots" In Time: My Manitoba

We just survived 2 days of severe thunderstorms with no loss of assets, so that was a good thing. Others didn't fare as well. Skyline Maintenance and Avionics lost part of it's roof, Sasaginnigak Lodge had 2 large trees narrowly miss the lodge and land on "hydro" wires, and there was other assorted "mayhem". Anyways, the days before the storms hit are; "Snapshots" In Time: My Manitoba.

A couple of "yawls" used to fish on Lake Winnipeg, tied up on the Icelandic River. Posted by Picasa

Lots of room for full fish tubs! Posted by Picasa

The "cockpit"! Posted by Picasa

C-GULA of Duck Mountains Survey fame also calls the Icelandic River "home" in the summer. Posted by Picasa

On Saturday morning early, I went to pick up Jason Lambley from 'Lambley's Hunts From The Heart', who had 3 bear hunters at Northway's outpost camp at Kesch Lake. Let's see how they made out.

Arrived! UKN at Kesch Lake with a load of bear bait! Posted by Picasa

Jason quickly off to refresh a bait while we unload. Posted by Picasa

All bear bait unloaded and stored, UKN awaits her passengers and their baggage. Posted by Picasa

"YUMMY"(?)! Bear steaks! Posted by Picasa

UKN loaded for the trip home. Posted by Picasa

Me, my "horse", and the hunters, hailing from South Carolina and Nebraska. They harvested 2 bears. Posted by Picasa

"Yup", that guy in the white shirt is sure one ugly "mutt"! Till next time............. Posted by Picasa
