Lake Winnipeg: The "Lumbering Giant" Does Not Yet "Slumber"........

Lake Winnipeg is not yet frozen, and at this time of year during a storm "fury is unleashed". During the "placid" days it can be quite picturesque along the shoreline. Here is what I saw today.

Yes, the "Giant" is close to hibernation, but not yet. There will be much more "violent and malevolent roiling and churning" before the "mercury finally plummets", and Winter's "icy grasp" claims Lake Winnipeg until May!

  1. Kia Ora from that krazy blogger donw under in New Zealand - again. Where's the polar bears ? Its as if they hiding around the next corner ready to pounce !!! It sends shivers up your spine - the "cold" that is - not the polar bears.
