Steve's "Otter Of The Week"!......by Karl E. Hayes

We have profiled and read some "amazing" Otter stories every week, from Karl's research. Unfortunately, there were some Otters that just "faded" into history without much being remembered and recorded about them. They, too, need to be profiled, though, being part of a "legendary run of aircraft". If anyone reading recognizes a registration or a Ser. # of an Otter they have info on, please contact myself or Karl.

All information is from Karl Hayes' "masterful" CD entitled:

Otter 217

Otter 217 was delivered to the Indian Air Force on 21st January 1958 with serial IM-1717. After test flying at Downsview, it was packed into a crate and shipped to India where it was re-assembled and entered service. It crashed and was written off in Indian Air Force service, details unfortunately unknown.
