UKN "Regains Her Balance"!

Yesterday, I had empty legs into Sasaginnigak to retrieve fishermen, so I decided to haul in some canoes for Fred Rupp from Les Voyageurs, Inc.. We position canoes at Sasaginnigak, and then Fred flies young people in with us, and then they canoe and continue their outdoor adventure. Les Voyageurs Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "expand the horizons of young people as it challenges their physical, psychological, social, and learning skills through an intense outdoor experience."

Then, I was off to Silver Falls to have UKN's prop balanced by Jim Jeffries from Jeffries Airworks Co., Inc.. I have known Jim now for a number of years, and he does outstanding work.

Jim balanced the prop, and the difference in vibration was quite noticeable. There is no shimmy or shake in any of the engine controls or the shock-mounted instrument panels. Good stuff! Anyways, I did another trip to Sparrowhawk last night after the prop was balanced, and I am pleased with it. Hey, balancing props is money well-spent, and if you need yours done contact Jim.
